MADISON GEOTHERMAL

ABOUT
The City of Madison is ranked as one of the top 10 most energy efficient cities in the United States. The city has set a goal to reach net zero carbon emission for city operations by the year of 2030 and community wide by 2050. The most common renewable system being used in the city is currently solar power but geothermal systems have been used on a multitude of projects in the city to prove their capabilities in energy efficiency for the city.
The Triangle Neighborhood is a low and mixed income housing development that is going to be updated and expanded over the course of the next few years. The implementation of a geothermal system will allow for the site to be fully powered by the ground below the site and significantly reduce if not completely eliminate utility bills for all residents of the community.
